What kind of wax do you use?

We exclusively use 100% soy wax for our candles, MADE in the USA. Derived from soybean oil and other soy-based additives, it's eco-friendly, sustainable, and Kosher certified. Our soy wax candles burn slower, last longer, and produce 90% less soot than paraffin candles, providing better value and a cleaner burn.

What are your fragrances made of?

Farmhouse Charm Candles uses a blend of essential oils and fragrance oils, carefully chosen to exclude harmful chemicals like parabens and phthalates. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. We meticulously source every ingredient to create candles that are safe, sustainable, vegan, cruelty-free, and never tested on animals.

What are your wood wicks made of, and do you treat them?

Our wood wicks are made from 100% natural wood sourced sustainably from Sappy Fruit Trees in the USA. They are untreated.

My candle crackles, is that normal?

Absolutely! We love the cozy, soothing crackle of our wood wicks. It happens because the moisture in the wood heats up when the candle is lit, creating steam that escapes with a delightful sound. Just like a mini campfire, the flame "dances" and gives off that satisfying crackle.

My candle keeps extinguishing, what should I do?

No worries! Trimming the wick usually does the trick. The wax fuels the flame, so if the wick is too long or dirty, the wax can't reach it properly. Keep your wooden wicks short, ideally between 1/8" and 3/16". You can use a candle trimmer, old nail clippers, scissors, or just pinch off the charred bit with a tissue. What is the burn time of your candles?

Our standard 8 oz candles typically burn for 45-55 hours when following our recommended candle care guidelines. We regularly test our candles to ensure this burn time. However, external factors like drafts, humidity, and temperature can influence burn rates.

Do candles expire? When should I burn mine by?

Candles don’t have an expiration date, but it's best to burn them within a year of purchase. We get it, it’s hard to part with your favorites, but if you wait too long, they might lose their scent. So, don't wait, light it up and savor the moment!

Are your candles gluten-free?

Yes, indeed! All of our candles are gluten-free! Whether or not you have a sensitivity to gluten, you can relax and enjoy them without worry.

Are your products safe for pets?

Absolutely! At Farmhouse Charm Candles, we're pet lovers too. While our products are generally safe for homes with pets and are cruelty-free, it's crucial to handle them with care.

It's essential to follow our usage instructions and heed the warning labels. To ensure your pet's safety, keep your Farmhouse Charm Candles products out of their reach (and also away from curious children!). Some essential oils used in our candles can potentially irritate the skin or be toxic to certain animal breeds. Smaller animals, in particular, can be more sensitive to their environments, so please exercise caution when using fragranced products around them.

If you have any questions or concerns about using our products around your pet, we highly recommend consulting your veterinarian for personalized advice regarding your furry friend's well-being. Your pet's safety is our priority!

How fragrant are your products?

Our candles are crafted to enhance, not overpower, your everyday ambiance. As a result, their scent is more intimate compared to others in the market. For optimal scent distribution, we recommend selecting the appropriate size for your space.

For small to medium spaces, our 8 oz Standard Candles offer a robust yet contained fragrance, while our Room & Linen Sprays provide a quick and refreshing burst (perfect for linens!).

In larger areas, we recommend burning two or more 8 oz candles simultaneously. As a general guideline, use one 8 oz candle per every 10 square feet to ensure a well-balanced aroma throughout the room.

Can we customize candles with scents, labels, or designs?

Absolutely! We love working with our customers to create exactly what they need. Whether you're looking to place a bulk order for a special event like a wedding, birthday, or baptism, or you want a unique, personalized gift, we're here to help.
